Reaching Out To the Snoqualmie Valley

St. Clare's Essentials

One of the ministries of St. Clare’s Episcopal Church is to sponsor the Essentials Closet for the Snoqualmie Valley Food Bank.  We accept donations of necessary paper products such as toilet paper, paper towels, disinfectant wipes etc., personal care items such as feminine products, incontinence products, tooth paste, body soap, shampoo etc.,  and cleaning supplies.   We have also partnered with Bombas Socks and Earth Breeze laundry sheets to provide socks and laundry soap for clients of the Snoqualmie Valley Food Bank, and Reclaim Shelter Services, and Trail Youth Coffee House.  Any financial donations will be used for the purchase of these items for distribution at the food bank.  More specific information about this month’s distribution can be found HERE.  If you would like to find out more information or would like to donate, please contact us at admin@stclareschurch.org

Knitting Ministry

We knit,  crochet, and quilt prayer shawls (to wrap yourself in) and lapghans (to drape over your legs,)  and make teddy bears to comfort people suffering from illness or trauma.  Since inception in August of 2019, we have made over 300 prayer shawls and numerous quilts, hats, scarves and lapghans.  They have been sent throughout the United States, Switzerland, Germany, and Australia.

Want to learn to knit?  We can arrange lessons.  If you would like to participate in our knitters ministry or know of someone in need, e-mail us at admin@stclareschurch.org

Providing Meals for Reclaim

Reclaim is the home of shelter services for the Snoqualmie Valley.

At St Clare’s Church, we believe in extending compassion and support to those in need, and providing shelter meals is a meaningful way to fulfill that commitment. By offering nourishing meals to individuals who are experiencing homelessness or facing challenging circumstances, we aim to address their immediate physical needs and create a safe and welcoming environment for them. These meals not only provide sustenance, but they also serve as a beacon of hope, reminding individuals that they are valued and cared for by their community. Through our collective efforts, we strive to alleviate hunger, foster a sense of belonging, and inspire positive change in the lives of those we serve.

St. Clare's Garden Ministry

St. Clare’s is blessed to have a certified master gardener as a member.  Under Anne Neilson’s direction, we provide organic vegetables to the Snoqualmie Valley Food bank from early spring through late fall.  We are grateful to the Rotary Club of Snoqualmie Valley and the Diocese of Olympia for their support enabling us to take care of God’s creation through prudent use of resources.
